It’s the time of the year to really shower our teachers with love.
But let’s be honest, that should happen all school year. I know the end of the year is exhausting for everyone: teachers, staff, kids and parents alike. This year I’m ditching the hand crafted teacher gifts for a cute card and gift card instead: Composition Book style Thank You cards.
Tools & Materials
- patterned blank note cards (I got mine from Michaels, but I’m loving these from Amazon)
- 1” black masking tape (Amazon)
- Thank You tags, printed on white card stock
- scissors
- glue
- corner punch optional
- cutting machine (Cricut, Silhouette, etc) optional
How to
There is a quick video below, but here are the super simple steps:
Using a pre-made blank notecard from the craft store, run a strip of black masking tape along the middle of the spine, folding it around to the back of the card. Trim the excess tape.
Print and cut out “Thank You” tags. You can just use scissors, or if you are a Cricut user you can access the labels in Design Space to print and cut them. Glue on the front of the card, slightly above middle.
Optional: Use a corner punch or scissors to round the right side corners of the card.
I know, not everyone wants a cool water bottle that says “Teacher Off-Duty” or a Mason jar full of golden treats with a sunflower tag that says "Thanks for an A-Mason year”. (Though you really can’t go wrong with a stack of sticky notes with a simple printable label of appreciation.)
